Fall 2023 Adams PTO Update

Dear Adams Families,

We would like to welcome you to our school! Our PTO is a volunteer parent organization that partners with teachers and administrators to help support our school and students.

In lieu of traditional fundraising, the PTO asks for a single membership contribution of $40.00 per family. If we can get 50% of Adams families to support us at this level, we will not need to make additional fundraising requests throughout the year, so please donate now if you can! Receiving your donation at the beginning of the school year enables us to plan and fund projects for the entire year.

Our membership is currently about a third of what it normally is, which is why we made a couple of donation asks last year. We desperately need more parents and guardians to join us and help support our programs.

Some of the ways your monetary contributions go to support our school are to offer in-house programs such as author’s visits and cultural enrichment’s. We help subsidize field trips for the students. We give money to fund the Iron Giraffe event each year. A large portion of money that is raised goes towards end of the year activities which have included Field Day, 7th and 8th We supported students with prizes for the Iron Giraffe Contest, a new welcome banner for the school, a replacement banner for the gym, and an ice cream truck at each of the 7th Grade Teams' Jacobs Beach field trips. 8th graders got a Luau Party with games, photo booth, DJ, and snacks, tickets for food trucks at Stepping Up, and tons of popsicles and snacks and a grilled outdoor lunch from the Marketplace for Field Day. We did our best to keep costs down and work from a limited budget and we really appreciated the extra donations people made to support teachers and those spring activities.
